However, the surface is vulnerable to scorching from extreme heat and is less resistant to deep scratches or chips than stone, making cutting boards and trivets essential.

Remnants – Getting The Most Out Of Your Surface Material

Let’s dispel the remnant myth! Remnants are not leftover, unwanted waste pieces from another project. Remnants actually work well for small projects (e.g., a vanity countertop, shelving, basement wet bar).

A pre-cut remnant piece will be closer to the size of your smaller surface, eliminating the need to cut a new, larger slab that would end up costing you more money. We are fastidious about the way we cut our slabs to reduce waste and reserve more surface that can be used for smaller projects, and we can pass off substantial savings to you.
